I made a subreddit for Golden Sun Hacking! Anyone who wants to post news there or achievements or whatnot is welcomed! Spread the word!

...Am I the only person who thinks that doing that is a bad idea? You do know that this site doesn't deal in entirely legal matters, right? Hacking into and changing the data of a video game kinda isn't even grey area anymore, you know.
It's best to keep this in-fandom, don't spread this site to other places.
...Actually, it's completely legal if the game in question is Sonic Colours. When Sonic said, "No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!", he wasn't kidding! It has to be read to be believed. The thing in the game's manual that normally gives the rant about "no archival copies" etc. instead expressly permits the creation -- and even resale! -- of copies, among other things.
The rant, featured in the second page of the NTSC game manual, in full:
"Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the Software is furnished to do so, subject to the following conditions:
The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software."
Whoa, seriously? Dang, mad props to Sega for having the balls to do that!
...This is, of course, immediately followed by a disclaimer of warranty, including non-infringement. Brilliantly done, Sega!
So you can do it, but you'll void the warranty. No leagal action will be taken, they they won't fix it for you if you screw it up.
No no no. There is no warranty to begin with! That's what they're saying.

Wait, what, no warranty? I thought everything had one.
now if only we could get Capcom and Nintendo to join in, we would be set!
edit: I meant Camelot not capcom
though some megaman games might be nice to mess with.
