We're currently debating upgrading forums to over here (http://goldensunhacking.omgforum.net/forum.htm), so these ones could get shut down some time soon in favor of the newer ones.
As for your problem there, I'd say not e-mailing the Admin questions that other users could easily answer would be a good start. To answer them though:

The editor is still a work in progress, so some features aren't done yet, unfortunately that is one of them.

Hm... This does give me an idea though. Technically, wouldn't it be possible to change the animation of one of the current psynergies and give it a different animation from the game?

Well, you could go the easy route and use a palette swap of the Volcano series. Once the animation editors are done, I'd imagine that to be significantly easier than actually crafting your own psynergy. Another thing would be to rip the geyser in Neried's animation for use, and that'd be significantly tougher.
And don't worry, I'll give the boya a proper introduction post later. Bit busy right now, though.
