This poll is here because I'm curious as to how many people really do like these forums.

I'm quite fond of it. It's quite useful and it is very easy to customize.

Of course, it sometimes doesn't like to work, but that's not enough to take it down for me :3

Is Slow,
Logs me off when I have been away for an hour,
Logs me off when I am finishing a post, sometimes before it has been posted,
Loses connection at least 3 or 4 times a day,
And a few more minor things.

Okay, so this is basically it. This place would be fine as long as these problems could be fixed, but after a few weeks...

The only problem I have is that sometimes it loses connection. When it fails to post, I can just hit the back button cause I use Safari. I also don't get logged out automatically.

That's why Mac is so much better than Windows! *shot*

Hehe. Anyway, I am trying to think of ways to fix the problems on my end, although I doubt that I can do anything (this being my new computer that I got in June).

The fact that you're constantly disconnecting may have more to do with your computer than the server... I've only been unable to access the site twice, and I have a very shoddy connection. Plus, it came back when I refreshed the page in firefox.

And Jamie, I doubt the fact that it disconnects has anything to do with the Operating System either >_>

About copying posts - I'm quite used to doing it because I disconnect so often, so it's not that bad because it's a habit XD

True... but if we've got multiple people getting the SAME EXACT PROBLEM, regardless of OS (which honestly doesn't matter), Browser (which kinda matters), and ISP (which matters most), it seems to suggest that it's a matter with the site, not any of those things...

Apparently the reason the server's been so wonky is because they've been switching servers...

Well, as for me I like the new GSHC. I still haven't had any problems at all so I really don't have anything to complain about it.

So... thoughts on moving again then?

I've said it once, I'll say it again - I've moved all my topics once already.  I do NOT want to do it again.

But either way, if everyone flocks over to some other place, I'll have no choice... again...  :irate:

Despite the fact that you're getting all these errors you wouldn't want to move again, even if it was to a more reliable host?

Actually, I think that having two archives is a bit much. Eventually, some people will complain about it, forcing us to move again...

Let's stay here a while before making any decisions.

I don't like the fact that several members continually get errors while browsing the forums.  It's not anywhere near definite yet either, I certainly don't like the idea of moving again so soon.

I really wish I could browse using several different computers and figure out what the hell is going on.

I'd rather get DSN errors than to move again.  I've said this many, many times.

Well, I am actually amazed that I have not logged out since I left yesterday afternoon, and returned almost 24 hours later. However, if you move again, I will most likely support it (unless you manage to find a place that has even more problems than here).

If you wish, a few of us could go to these different locations and do some testing?

I have a feeling that I might get a log-out error in a few minutes. I found out that 50% of the time that this happens, it is because I delete my cookies, but I still do not know the cause for the other errors.

Um... yeah, if you deleting your cookies doesn't log you out, something is wrong.

This is true. However, I have (luckily) found an alternative to deleting my cookies, ever since the old "Cookies" folders were lost.

As the way things look, yes, and if it is what I expect, both these two older forums will be DELETED entirely. (That is, AFTER all the topics have been moved onto the NEWER forums.)

Although i was only a lurker on the old forums i think this really better, besides moving again would just be confusing...
All the forum seems to be lacking is multiple skins.

Now that we've had plenty of time to adjust to the move, and I've shown off some of the customization possibilities of the new forums with stuff like the custom [youtube] & [sprite] tags, and the download system (http://forum.goldensunhacking.net/index.php?action=downloads) I'm reviving this poll.  Everyone happy with this move? (Not that I'm considering ever moving again, cause I'm not)

Yes. I have nothing to complain about (although I have never had anything to complain anyway :p). Good job on the forums Atrius.
