If I don't post, you'll prune me?! D:
Don't prune me D:
I'll post, maybe only a few times a week, but it's something, right? XP
P.S. Atrius, someone used a combination of my, your, Charon/Cordivae's, Pukachi (a Fire Emblem hacker) and Sappy's information to make a GBA music editor. It's still in its first release but it's pretty cool.
(Relevant link (http://www.feuniverse.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=7874)--delete this if it's not allowed...)
Looks more like a ripping/insertion tool to me than an editor, but very nice none the less. Someone should point them to this (http://www.romhacking.net/docs/462/) documentation though, as it's the best I've seen on the format yet.
I'd also done a WAV to GBA sound sample converter (http://www.goldensunhacking.net/downloads/GBA_WAVConverter.zip) if you're interested in that. It's created from the same tool I used while creating my voice acting hack test. It should take .wav files with any sample format, but if I recall the GBA can only play them back at 16384hz at best. All it does is create the sound sample with proper header, you'd have create the instrument table entry & audio track that uses it yourself.
EDIT: Gave you back your posts from the old Invisionfree forum so you're even less likely to get pruned now.
Don't make an account and never use it. I'll take my shears to you. And don't just post here to try and claim 'immunity', stay inactive long enough and I'll cut you anyways. That being said...

Oh, hi there. Welcome to the forums.
Hm? What's that? What am I doing to this person? Well, you see, I'm a Miracle Member. Sanae here is a self-proclaimed Goddess of Miracles. And I hate Sanae with the passion of a thousand burning suns. Clearly one of us has to die. So I'm killing her. You need not worry, though, I don't plan on doing this to anyone else at the moment.
Of course, go anywhere near my flower garden and you're dead. But so long as you keep that in mind, and follow the rules, you should have no problems here. Heck, you can even join in on the Sanae torture if you wish...
I make my judgements based on logins, not posts, so as long as you login in 6 months you'll be fine.
Oh wow *-* I never expected my knowledge to be used in making a program like that! I'll have to check it out later :33333
Nah, I'd say use posts, not logins. If they log in just to lurk, they're not being a part of the community. If they have zero posts but are active in games, the least they could do is formerly introduce themselves. But most of the game posters are regular members - I've hardly seen any new posters there.
Lurkers shouldn't get deleted just because they don't post. They still read the posts, they probably just don't have much to say.
Then you and I have clearly different philosophies. I believe that if you won't contribute, then there's no need to count you as a member.
The only accounts that are going to be deleted are those with 0 posts that haven't logged in within 6 months. Even if you only contribute a little bit, and leave your account will always be here waiting if you decide to come back. That's the way it is going to be.
Well, you should always be allowed to come back - I'm calling for deletion, not banishment. They'd just have to re-register and they'd be fine.

Is it really causing that much of an issue? Some people obviously login every so often to check for any updates with the editor etc.
I understand what your opinion on how you want it is, Role, but I do believe I get the final say on this.
Wait... can't guests see the forum? And click the links? Or is this one of those where you have to log in to click links?
No, but seriously, we'd get some serious crap if we went around killing off the lurkers too. >_>
Wait, they can't click the links? Ugggh, I hate it when that happens. Okay, don't get rid of the lurkers in that case - if you've gotta log on to click links, we need to keep them.
*sigh*
Oh well.
Whoops, I meant they can see the links and all that :p
The Clans and the Staff areas are the only places a guest can't see.
Ah, alright, that sounds like a good way of pruning things. I do believe that members who are just there are just like a clutter. D:
I actually already have that program, Atrius, I think you gave it to me, once, and you even taught me how to insert sounds--on the old forum, of course. The program is more like a ripper and inserter than an editor, but the creator called it an editor, anyway. XD.
That image there is a bit frightening. I'll try and stick around, although I'm actually going on a trip tomorrow, so don't get upset at me if I'm not here for a week... (plus I have never beaten Golden Sun, so I won't have an easy time making discussion besides a post a week XD)

In that case I see no reason why we shouldn't prune for inactivity. If they really wanted to be part of the forums, they'd have done so, rather than make a post and never show up again.
0 Post prunes should be done at 3 months.
>0 Post get 6 months.
At least, that's how it'd happen if I were in charge. I mean, hell, I give PLENTY of time for them to start getting active, you know? It's up to you guys really, though. I'll try to respect your decision, even if I find it irritating when browsing the members list full of inactive members.
there is an advantage for not pruning at all
When guests come on the site, they are more likely to join if theres a good number of members. If someone comes onto GSHC and sees 20 users total there not gonna take it seriously....
its only an opinion of course...
This isn't the place for this discussion, besides I've already made my decision.
Blazer, I do recall you used to visit here, and I guess that was you at GBA temp too in the topic about the documentation.
Love going off-topic in introductions huh?
Anyway, I forgot to welcome Blazer back.
Welcome back!
Nice decision about Member Pruning....
As long as we keep all members with 10+ posts, we shall be golden!

It actually happens all the time. Check the other threads out.
I'm pretty sure this whole thing about going off-topic in introductions happens on almost every forum. XD
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
QuoteI'm pretty sure this whole thing about going off-topic in introductions happens on almost every forum. XD
Yeah, it probably does... In fact, we are off-topic right now.
Not only that, but according to your siggy, you approve.
