took the dsi apart, cleaned the button on the board and replaced the button spring. The button works much better now, but it is not perfect. Unfortunately I think it needs a replacement button cable and I looked forever today and could not find one to buy. It looks like Nintendo is he only place that has them. No charge since it is not 100%. ready for pick up any time. Thank you.

F*** YEAH, FREE REPAIRS!
Oh yeah, Nintendo is excellent for both customer service and free repairs/replacements. In fact, when my Wii stopped playing the Brawl disc, I shipped it to them to have the memory copied to a new Wii and sent back to me. Anyway, congrats on being able to have your DS fixed.
Have a nice day.
Nice, role!
...Ah. The Dsi's layout is a bit more complex than I thought it was. Well, it's good that you got it fixed for no charge.
one reason why portables suck. I had 2 PSPs, on a third were theres dirt under the button causing problems... seriously its annoying. If your console controller gets a problem it can easily be replaced.

If you know what's best for you, never, EVER, tell a Handheld Gamer Girl that portables suck. They will search for you. They will wind you. And they will kick your sorry little butt, only with much harsher language and S-type torment than allowed to be put in a forum.

But if you know what you're doing, portables can be easily fixed as well. Besides that, without an emulator and a laptop, how else would you play those games with you?
