Seeing that we will have to make our forms ... "differ" from other clans i will probably have to add some extra stuff ..... really they are too similar to be different forms .... I will agree on Role's comment here.
It would be better for me as the Clan leader if this form is put in the first page, if a forum member like to join the clan then they will have to fill it and send it to me via a PM, i will post the result here.

There are other requirements such as good forum behavior that will be checked on before approval. Dont expect to be approved if you get into trouble extremely often or are just an all around irritant.

If you are reading this application form, then it is likely that you are considering a membership within the Venus Clan; and we would like to thank you for considering our clan. If you do not know already, the Venus Clan has often been referred to as the Clan of Friends. We try to elect a new leader every few months, but elections are often slower than expected. We also have a Clan Hack and some Forum Games that are reserved for Venus Clan members. Ha if they do not follow rules, it will show up they cannot hide it ..... yes it does not really help with sorting .... but it helps since we do have a small rule ..... that helps get rid of those that join and disappear.

I think I like the application form. The questions may be similar, but all of them add up to what would be our "tell us about you" question. Just to make sure, is it possible to alter the application form as time changes?
Make sure it pertains to what your clan values, Sala. For Mars, they value work ethic, for Venus, you yourself said it's friendship. Instead of asking about things like past projects, try asking about friends and the like. How important they are, their favorite memory from being with friends, etc...
With Jupiter, our questions test intelligence and logic, so it's only fitting that you test what's important to your clan with your questions.

Again, race should not be a clan, but a selected form for the user profile. Heck, just allow us to type it in, and we're good! That way I can be a Contigo like I want to be, Maxi can be an Ankhol, etc...

This i think we should be able to say were were from, with strict restrictions of course like me a Venus adept cannot claim to be from Prox, Lemuria etc. Unless under weird conditions if we were to add like a move village feature of some sort..

Yeah, to have clan rules just make sure that no BS claims are said (such as not allowing Jovians to be Lemurians, for example), and from there, you're allowed to be any clan-okay race. Good call, Maxi.

But there's no point to them! We're arguing for their deletion here, Charon! The whole point is that since clans came first, people separated into clans, not nations. The whole "races" thing should have existed in the first place - at most, it should be little more than a flavor option like in most forums.

Well, what we need is for you to start asking us about things instead of jumping the gun and just doing it.
Kinda like with my elemental bullets. Ever think people might have wanted that green one? Or maybe have preferred the old ones instead? Asking the opinions of the forum for a possible feature is usually better than just jumping in and doing it. You may find that, like in the case of races, only a very small number of people actually care.
I agree with Role, we are not really using them .... we can create some topic in the general discussion section and have our talk there.
So i vote for there removal. And Charon ... i really think you should move this discussion in a new topic >_<

The only thing that's happened is that we're arguing that Race/Nationality shouldn't have it's own forum section - nobody of value actually uses them.

I used caps instead of bold. I have a really bad habit of doing that, thus appearing like I'm yelling. I went to edit. They beat me to the post, so they replied to the post that looked like I was yelling at them.
Including races just promotes fantasy racism, so why do it?

It should be good to go now, as the questions do not seem too generic anymore. As for the difference between "why" and "explain", I am letting applicants use their instinct when answering.

No, this is the right topic. Check the first few posts - I think Charon wants us to post this stuff here, and may even delete the thread after we're done so as to keep what everyone is testing for a secret.
That being said, make your applications with this in mind: It's not what they answer. It's HOW they answer - that's what you're looking for.
That also being said, I think we should list what our clan prides itself in. So far, this is what I know:
Venus: Friendship and...?
Mars: Work Ethic and...?
Jupiter: Intelligence and Logical Thought
Mercury: Who knows...
Friendship and reliability for Venus, which is why I ask for most of the answers to be explained. Touching up a bit on work ethic helps to understand whether applicants are reliable or not. As for Mercury's, I think they are looking for a broader, more generalized list of requirements.
It would be Work Ethics and seriousness for Mars ....

You might want to check the date before you post ... this was like weeks ago. And yes it was finished in Clan requests .. this is a split of that topic.
The Clan Request topic is only for requests, posting accepted members and submission form changes. If it gets cluttered with other discussion it might confuse new members, or it might make it difficult for me to find posts containing accepted members.
Well better idea anyway, just have accepted members pm'ed to you. Makes it simple. Just an idea but im going to start doing that AND posting it publicly.
