Curious, what are the character limits for all the various things in the game?
I'm sure we'll need to know these things when it comes time to working them out in the editor.
I do know that both power and resistance are limited to 200.
Items, Psynergies
I'd have to be able to edit them to tell for sure, and I haven't gotten that far on the string compression yet.
From what I can tell though, the names are only loaded into memory long enough to make the tiles necessary to display them. Theoretically they could be as long as you want, so long as it doesn't run out of room to display them.
Enemies

Ah. What I can tell so far for Items is 16. That's the longest string I've found. Without confirmation, though, I can't say for sure. I haven't taken a look at psynergies yet, though.
