Anyone have any info how to modify the end-effect of Death Curse, and make it more useful?

Salanewt made a patch that shortens the duration (from 7 turns to 4). Look in the downloads section. Of course, this mainly makes it more dangerous to the player...

I'm more interested in making it useful for boss fights. What if it paralyzed a foe instead? Or dealt damage? Surely someone has info?
