Finally a custom map demonstration! Man that's tricky to do. Nothing fancy, but it still helps me figure out the process so it can eventually be done with the editor. I also inserted Kari, and decided to push Link around for the fun of it/to show how far NPC's really can be pushed.
Cool! Now the only thing left is... what? Effect editing? I mean, we've replaced sprites now, with both Kari and Dutch Farmer. I think the only think left is new ability animations.
Oh there's quite a bit more than that still, I don't even have compatible compression algorithms for several things like tilesets, face portraits (The one for Kari in that one screen shot I did was just a palette swap), item/ability icons, or battle backgrounds. Once I do though they'll be fairly simple, it's just the compression that's the hard part on them as far as I can tell.
The world map is kind of a unique case too, I really need to work on getting that at least viewable in the editor.
Pretty nice. Hehe, Pokemon.
Great stuff Atrius.
exciting stuff...
Cool, nice work Atrius!
As for the world map, you have not figured out how to make it work yet? Would it be possible for the editor to render it, or does it already do that for the other maps?
Have a nice day.
Really nice work Atrius!
Link must be getting tired of being a guinea pig for your hacking tests! xD
Alex's face will never be the same again XD
This is really awesome! =D
Ohh... I must have forgotten to comment.
Kraden as a shop keeper? He must be a Pack Rat of inventions......
