Guys, we've almost finished the 2nd chapter and I won't be posting for a longer time but please stay tuned! Check out our Youtube account and tumblr every month for new songs and illustrations!

[GSL 2.17] Spirit of the Forest

Music on youtube:

The mood was somber as we treaded through the dark, dying forest with the water of Hermes, said to be able to heal any living thing, in hand. If our efforts were for nothing, this forest and all of Kolima would perish from Tret's curse.

We held our breath as the water seeped into the magnificent tree's roots. At first it seemed as though nothing had happened, but then...

"HROOM!" The spirit within Tret came alive! We told him the consequences that his actions had wrought, but it turns out he was not in his own mind when he cast his curse on the land. The eruption of Mt. Aleph had sown devastation everywhere, including in his heart, which had already been angered and saddened by the deforestation caused by the people of Kolima. His strength returning, he unleashed a bellow that echoed across the land! The trees around us blossomed with new life, and the woodland creatures seemed to cheer! With that, the curse of Kolima had been lifted. We had earned a little bit of rest and celebration in Kolima! I only worry that the effects of our sacred mountain's eruption may have had more far-reaching effects than any of us could have imagined...

Thank you for commenting!  Here we have new tracks for ya!

[GSL 2.15] Target Down! (Saturos)

Music on youtube:

It took more than a month, but the victory screen finally loaded! Sweet!

Illustration on tumblr:

Just chibies of Isaac, Garet, Ivan and Mia! >:3

[GSL 2.15] [GSL 2.16] Pure Ply (Mia's Theme)

Music on youtube:

Mia's not much of a fighter, but what she lacks in strength and speed, she makes up for with awesome psynergy. She hails from the northern Mercury Clan, once known throughout the world to be experts on the practice of Ply, or as Kraden would call it, Mercury psynergy. She did seem to draw enormous power from the Mercury beacon during our fight with Saturos, allowing her to cast magic that kept us alive even after blows that should have crippled us. The presence of Alex, a suave, teal-haired companion of Saturos', seemed to distress her greatly, and she joined our group to pursue him towards Venus lighthouse, an entire continent to the South.

Illustration on tumblr:

Mia is a Water Adept who helps people with diseases and health issues in the area. She is polite and serious, always able to support and reconcile her friends.

Hiya everyone! It's been a while but we're back with new track!

[GSL 2.14] Northern Wilds (Saturos' Fight)

Music on youtube:

With fearsome resilience and the devastating power of fire, Saturos would be the most challenging foe we had yet faced. But as we fought, a change seemed to come over him; the color drained from his face and his movements became less agile and practiced. We found the battle turning in our favor! Saturos shot a glance of hatred towards the giant, watery hues of the lit Mercury beacon. Could this be the reason his ominous power was fading?

Illustration on tumblr:

[What's this!? The light of Mercury...It's weakening my Psynergy! I must finish this quickly...]
Come on, fools!!

Golden Sun fans remember these words, right? Saturos was so confident but we showed him that it's not good to underestimate young and brave Adepts!
(well..or maybe that it's good to "save" before the battle XD)

Hi guys! New track and art! ^-^

[GSL 2.13] Wings of Fluid Grace

Mia's psynergy was the key to unlocking a gravity-defying ride to the lighthouse aerie, where we discovered that the beacon had been lit. To Mia, whose clan had always been charged with ensuring that it never happens, it is a catastrophe. Saturos, Menardi and our friends were still here, but as we made to reach them, Saturos stood in our way and bought time for the others to escape.

Something about his composure seemed off, as though he didn't really want to fight for some reason. Nevertheless, we could feel power emanating from the formidable adept. We regrouped and prepared to face our toughest foe yet.

"Come on, fools!"

Oh, thanks for your comment Atrius and for your honest opinion! We are so glad you like our work!

[GSL 2.12] They Call It The Lighthouse

Navigating through the innards of the massive structure, it became obvious that its builders sought it to allow only the most headstrong and determined of adventurers to reach its peak. Mia's psynergy allowed us to pass through several of the puzzles and traps that had been set for us, and we lent her our skill in battle against the guardians and monsters that roamed its sparkling halls.

Hi everyone ^-^! Something new for you!

[GSL 2.11] Village of Velvet Snow

The village of Imil greeted us warmly after our long trek across the treacherous mountains of northern Angara. The people here are worse for the wear, as a terrible sickness seems to be spreading through the population. Without their fabled Water of Hermes to keep them healthy, pressure has been placed on the village's last remaining cleric, a vestige of the old order of Mercury adepts by the name of Mia. We've seen Mia's healing first hand; it's an ancient form of psynergy--but she doesn't know this, nor her identity as an adept.

A bright flash from a monolithic structure nearby (referred to as a "lighthouse" by the locals) seemed to disturb her, and she took flight in its direction repeatedly murmuring the name "Alex"... We've given chase, not only for fear of the girl's safety, but also because that flash of light can only mean our enemies have reached their target before we could catch them...

Hi everyone! Got a new track for you! Meet our new friend!

[GSL 2.10] Meet Pepper!

Somewhere on the icy slopes between the caves and the healer's haven of Imil, we stumbled upon none other than Pepper, the missing little squirrel from the woods. He can talk, like the others. Every night, he says, strange ribbons of magical light shimmer in the skies far to the north of his home; he used to watch them from the safety of his nest and wonder what in the world they could mean. Since he was struck on the head by one of the psynergy stone fragments cast from the eruption of Mt. Aleph, he has been consumed by the desire to find them and discover their purpose and meaning, as well as his own--much to the chagrin of his parents, who would much rather he stay at home and help tend the new generation.

Ambitious or not, the little guy almost froze to death out here. We'll escort him to Imil, but I know what he seeks cannot be found there. The lights are visible from the town but their source is much further north, in the uncharted icy wilds. After we're finished with business at the lighthouse, I'll return him to his parents, as promised.

New track!

[GSL 2.09] Beneath the Dreaming Earth

The mountain ranges that separate central Angara from the northern rim of the continent, where our destination Imil is located, are too steep to traverse on foot. With no alternative, we descend into the labyrinthine caverns that wind their way from one side to the other, deep beneath the ancient earth. Some caverns are man made and still in use as trading routes, so they are well-lit and offer the occasional opportunity to converse with merchants, but the passageways all look the same after a while, and I'm wary of getting lost.

I miss the moon already.

[GSL 2.08] Nightfall

When we decided to press our luck and continue our journey by moonlight, we discovered the darkness to be filled with creatures even more dangerous and repulsive than those we encountered during the day. Slaying them appears to provide richer rewards than their less powerful versions, however! So it may be worth spending a night or two out here if we need more coin.

I'm more worried about the visions. Sometimes, a beautiful, sad melody fills the night air. The voice belongs to a woman... Every so often, across the plains, you could swear to see the spectral silhouette of someone not altogether from this world. But when we chase this figure, she always disappears before we can get close. I wonder who she is... and what she's looking for.

Introducing (well, kinda) our other major new character for this story! Right now our heroes only see her during random occurrences, at night, from a distance, and in spectral form, shrouded in mist. You'll learn more about her quite a bit later ;)

Side note, I think this is one of Neshi's most cleverly designed artworks yet. She squeezed a lot of detail in there!

Other side note! That's Neshi on the vocals. Everyone tell her how good she did! NOW

Pep pep!

Hi everyone! Long time no see! We're back with another track, and it's an original! Have you ever wondered who the squirrel in our logo is? Well, this is where his sidequest (which takes almost the whole game to complete!) begins!

[GSL 2.07] A Legend and a Lullabye

We followed the forest's song and discovered a place the unrestrained power of alchemy had not yet ravaged. Here, instead of becoming monsters, the creatures seem to have developed the ability to speak and understand our language. A couple of worried squirrels solicited our help to find their lost son Pepper, who apparently went missing at the start of the pairing season. I promised them we'd keep an eye out for the young one, but I doubt we'll see him on our travels. The lands between here and the lighthouse pose no hospitable crossing for such a little creature.

...It is so peaceful here, in the squirrels' world. It's a joy to watch them play and explore. For them, life goes on as it always has. I wish we had the pleasure of knowing that kind of simplicity...

Hope you like it! ^-^

Hey everyone! Here's my take on one of my favorite songs from the original game:

[GSL 2.06] Hymn for the Broken Forest

"We explored the ravaged forest, which is now full of monsters who were once peaceful woodland creatures. The spirits here are slumbering, hiding from the death and destruction wrought by the lumberjacks and the eruption of Mt. Aleph. It seems our quest to save Kolima will take us in the direction we were initially heading, as the spirits can only be healed with the mystical waters of the Mercury Lighthouse--the very location our enemies are said to be approaching as we speak.

...Although we are surrounded by sadness and pain here, a small plaintive melody can be heard echoing through the trees. It is the lullaby the forest sings to its creatures so they do not despair in troubled times. These lands are strong and still full of hope."

Enjoy!

Pepper~

Thankies, we do our best!

Have another track, why not!

[GSL 2.05] Troubles of the Townsfolk

"By reading the still-human minds encased within the trees, we managed to deduce that the wealthiest man in Kolima, one Lord McCoy, commissioned a battery of lumberjacks to fell the woods surrounding the village for lumber so that he could build his beloved a palace of her own. The spirit that dwells in the forest--if there is such a thing--must have acted out in retaliation. McCoy has promised us aid if we can figure out a way to reverse the curse, and having a man of that stature on our side would not be a bad thing for our quest at all."

Enjoy plz ^-^~

Hey everyone! Long time no see!

Got a new track for you today:

[GSL 2.04] The Curse of Kolima

"After crossing the Goma range, we decided to take a brief detour to the nearby lumberjack village of Kolima, nestled in a dense forest. But what awaited us wasn't the town's infamous hospitality. As we entered the village gates, a mysterious force erupted from the forest and swept through the town, turning all the residents into trees before our eyes! Only we adepts were spared, thanks to our psynergy: it seems that it sometimes activates subconsciously, beyond our control. What do we do now? However grave our own quest, we cannot leave the townsfolk in this state... what has been done to anger the forest so...?"

Hope you like it! Let me know what you think ^-^

Hello, everyone! I've got two new tracks for you to start off Chapter Two!

[GSL 2.01] Main Theme (Alternate)

A reprise of our main theme, and likely the last we're going to hear of it for a good long while!

[GSL 2.02] Soldier (Garet's Theme)

Illustration here  -> [link]

An original theme for Isaac's childhood friend, Garet. He's protrayed as a clinical hothead in the games, but I wanted to draw the focus a little away from that one-dimension portrayal and towards his virtues of loyalty and steadfastness. This theme combines several ideas that stand for his relationship with his friends (0:34 to 0:52) and his family (0:53 to 1:12, including most prominently a cute theme for Garet's little brother, Aaron).

Thank you all for listening, and let us know what you think of these!
