Hello you guys!! I hope you enjoyed Halloween! (Americans at least)!!

I need your help, about following problem of mine.

I am working on a present for my cousin, that is, translating Golden Sun in Greek, since the editor does not recognize the Greek alphabet though, I use greeklish (Latin alphabet, rearranged to make sense in Greek, like this: kalimera which is Good Morning).

Everything was fine, until I decided to include a joke, I made Garet at some point say too much, and the editor semi-crushed. Everything was a blurry and did not make sense, it was easy for me to fix, I just opened up another editor with an original English version, and translated as always...

Anyway here comes the problem, as I went on translating, I noticed that a certain line does not change, no matter what I do.

It is after the 3 years, where Garet says: But, [17][6]..!  ([17][6] is Jenna I think, anyway this is not of importance)

When I try to give the Greek word for but, which is ma, it does not change. The editor keeps the above. I tried to patch a new file, but the problem remains. And I calculated, this problem keeps for about 250 lines of dialogue, not much compared to the 6000 lines, but still it bother me though...

Is there any way for me to fix it? Please, I do not want to start over, I have translated everything else, apart the dialogue of the game, but I also want to give a proper translation to my cousin.

Anything would help!

I think the map is relatively easy to come around! Search for Golden Sun World Map and you should find it!

It would be nice if someone could add these smileys to th elaready existing ones!!

Uhm...I saw some people have downloaded my hard mode file...and I am really curious, anyone who downloaded it and tried it out...is it good?bad?terrible?Do you think it IS hard or didn't I accomplish in the end anything at all?

Any opinions you could share? I don't want to be bothersome or something...but I would like to know! :?:

Consumable Items that function as Shield, they reduce damage by certain percentage. If by other multi target items you mean Bramble Seed and such, yes they work just fine, also, an item called Fire Bomb I created, is used as well. Only the damage reducing items are not used...

Hmm, what to do next, how about the Goma Cave? (Or the Lunpa Cave).

I play your hack as well, and must say I like it!

What I liked most about it is the fact that some weapons raise something other than attack as well. Light Blades raise agility, staffs raise max PP and Axes drop defense! I like this a lot! Also, the fact that  :Sheba: is the main healer is also nice, since she is fragile, and loosing her means loosing your healer, of course in base classes, I want to see what other classes provide!

Because I have my last exams tomorrow, I can't continue on playing, but I will post again about my experience with it!!! :happy:

And I know the idea behind it is the same with what you did, since I downloaded yours and test it out! I will tell you my impressions on it!!! :happy:

Hello everyone, I wanted to find a way of fixing a problem with some items I had but then I thought it wasn't so important, anyway, I want to show you guys my Hard Mode TLA patch.

First of all, thanks Atrius for this amazing editor! I can't stop praising this!!

Also, I have no hack skills whatsoever, so I just played with the already existing stats provided in the editor, which means no new animations no Summon HP% debuff(I would like someone to explain to me how this is done though).

The idea behind this is to make a difficult mode for TLA, for people who replay the game and want a new experience, for the fun of it.

Monsters are tougher, I raised their stats, and gave them more moves. Sometimes they just have a bigger in 8 chance to use their particular move, sometimes they have different Psynergy Spells. I hope I implemented well this idea.

Characters have been debuffed, Sheba for example starts of as very fragile, Felix is powerfull but has little PP at first, Jenna is an allrounder, with mediocre stats.

Djinn buff less, and always a total of 8 points, for example, some Djinn give 4 HP and 4 PP and some other 3 HP 2 PP and 3 Def.

Summons are nerfed, at a decent level, the main 16 have a base power of 10-30-60-100, zagan has 20, haures 140, charon 270, moloch 80, coatlicue 100, azul 200, megaera 50, ulysses 110, deadalus 70 and 180, iris 350, flora 60, eclipse 140, catastrophe 230. Since the HP% is the same, unfortunately they still do tons of damage to bosses. Also, some summons require more stand by Djinn.

Speaking of bosses, I made them as hard as I could, some have company while battling you as well.

Gear is balanced (I hope), but gear at the end of the game is more of extremes, for example, the cursed gear raises Defense much! But reduces resistance a lot, and not only resistance some times.

Psynergy is more powerfull, this makes it more usefull, but also more dangerous when cast by enemies.

Classes for team Felix are different from team Isaac (but they have the same names though, apart from a few, I am not good in naming things). Felix and Sheba's base class are different from Isaac and Ivan's base class. The item tied classes, are classes of extremes, each raise 2 stats good, 2 stats mediocre and 2 stats very little. For example, tamer has 100% for HP and PP, 40% attack and 30% defense, and 180% agility and luck. I thought this is a good idea, I would like to see your opinion on this.

I think this is it for the most part, I hope I did everything right, I would love to hear your suggestions for doing stuff better, and if someone gets to try it out, I would love to hear some feedback and impressions!!

Also, I used the Blacksmith Fix patch. Whoever did this, thank you so much!!!

So I am gonna upload the patch in the download area if I need some special permission for this that I am not aware of, feel free to delete it!

PS: You can transfer a password from a normal Broken Seal game, everything gets changed according to this patch, I have tried it out.

PS2: Ok fixed the problem, I uploaded the correct patch, but 2 times...can a moderator delete one?

Hello everybody, I have a question and need your help.

I created some items for my hacked TLA hard mode I do, they have the same properties as the Djinn that create shields.

When I tried them out, any of my party members can use them.

So in order to provide some difficulty, I gave to some enemies those items as well, the problem is, not even one monster does use them. They use other items though, so the DO use items, but not these particular ones.

The items are effect only, on an ally with a range of all. The guard Aura enemy move, is an utility. I changed them to utility but the problem remains....any ideas?

After this problem, I am ready to release my hack, If I can't fix it, I will the game without those items!! So excited!!

I can think of 3 different ways a sequel could be made:

1.A direct continuation (of course), with new playable and old characters. Matthew, Karis and Tyrell are pretty much sure, then either Rief (for children of the Warrios of Vale's sake) or Amiti (that Alex subplot needs a fulfilment, but this could be done without Amiti being playable as well), then Takeru and Nowell, then I hope for either Ahri (to parallel Eoleo) or Sheba's descendant (if Felix married Sheba makes things easier), and a Mars Proxian (the proxians need some love too). As for plot, Mourning Moon, Tuaparang, Wise One and Isaac in danger etc.

2.Events that take place at the same time as DD's. So new characters are easier to find Takeru, Nowell, Ahri and Mars Proxian or Felix and Sheba's descendants, then some characters leave (maybe Ahri and the Mars one plus one more) to let Matthew and Karis and Tyrell return (with data transfer maybe? but they would be broken as hell). This way, there would be many characters without the need of 12 or 16 (cameos of the old ones are a must, from Ivan to Himi). As for plot, something happens that ties with the events of DD (I haven't thought much about this, since number 2 is too far fetched).

3.A prolog to the overall games or a game in the far future. Both are interesting to me, but this would make DD irrelevant and I don't want this to happen, since DD needs to be tied up. But this gives the opportunity to start from scratch again!

Also, a thought about Data transfer. The 3DS has a memory of every game played on the system right? Maybe Camelot could use this for a data transfer, so the 4th game just has to "read" the data of DD..!

Well, I did not create many items, but the new ones are:

Charm, which has the same function as Tonic, single target one ally.

Angelic Brick/Stone/War: Consumable items that have the same function as the guard aura with a damage decrease of 50%, 60% and 90% respectively.

Burning Pepper: Has the same function as Impact.

Psy Grenade: Inspired by Dark Dawn's infamous bomb, which targets 3 adepts and decreases the PP by 30.

Psy Bomb: Stronger version of Psy Grenade, decreases PP by 150.

Fire Bomb:Has the nova animation and does about 200 base damage with a range of 5.

Black Sword: A sword (looks like a rusty one, not cursed), which increases the users attack by 70 and defense by 5, increases Mercury Power by 30 and Mars power by 15. Unleashes Critical Hit (a new unleash, I want to change the animation though) with an unleash rate of 40%.

Princess Bow: For the girls, increases defense by 35 and recovers 10 HP and 5 PP.

And I also made the 3 boots usable.

I am using the all familiar editor Atrius made, to make a hard mode for TLA. Of course, it is nothing as amazing as you guys are capable of doing, since I have zero hacking skills, but I thought it is interesting at least. I want to provide a different experience for the game, for people who still play the game every now and then (I at least once a year go through the whole series for example).

Anyway, this is the battle against Karst and Agatio (beta), the sprite for the psy bomb is different now. I mostly want you to judge the difficulty of it, and if possible explain to me, how I can make the summons do less damage without lowering Agatio and Karst' HP.

I am curious for your feedback and thanks in advance!!
