Misc. GS Hacking / Re: Newly Discovered Debug Menus
11, May, 2011, 11:51:21 AM
forget it i was trying the code in gs1, i tried to apply it on gs2 and it worked fine, it would be nice if gs1 had 1 warp menu too though.

Edit: btw is there a cheat code, memory viewer editing, etc way to walk through anything for gs1? i really need it cuz i messed up my rom rom while editing it, i need it to go back to Bilibin to to some editing there, i m at Altin now and i cant go back through Mogall Forest now...

I just learned how to edit money in the save file of golden sun and now i see that you re aldready making your own GS Save Editor... i had that ideia too, but since you had it first, well, lets hope it s a good save editor.

That sounds very interesting and all, but you do know that you two are having this discussion in the wrong topic, right? Just thought that I would point that out...

Also, Maxi: Are you going to make some more maps for us soon? I would really like to see what else you can come up with, as you have made some very good looking maps so far.

My apologies if it s in wrong topic, i ll make a new topic later about this.

GBATEK = GBA & DS Hacking Bible

I'd also like to point out that v0.3 does give you the capability to do hex level ASM hacking on map code should you choose to do so.  It's a bit more advanced since you have to break the commands down into their hex equivalents though. This is where cut scenes come in to play, so please do experiment with it.

The ASM viewer in your editor cant be edited and i dunno how to convert it to hex, does this GBATEK teaches everything there is to know about GBA, NDS editing?

Non-GS Hacking / Re: Pokemon Save Editing

Do you know this old saying? "Give a man a fish and feed him for a day...Teach a man how to fish and feed him for a lifetime..."
What i m trying to say is, instead of waiting for people to paste their save files for you to edit, how about teaching them how to do it? Me too would like to learn how to do that stuff!

Easy answer is easy, but you won't like it.

Mobile Phone Gaming is a joke.

Besides, by the time we get the ability to do what you're wanting, you'll have a newer version of the emulator out that probably has a way to fix it.  Editor releases come out years at a time.  It was a little over a year and a half between 0.2 and 0.3, and it's been half a year since then.  Looking to the editor for a fix is not the right decision here.  Looking to the emulator guys, or waiting for the 3DS' Virtual Console to come out is what you should be doing.

Well that would be the right thing to do if i were other guy... the fact is that i cant really wait for other emulator version to come out, I love this game! Besides, i dont even know if there is going to be other version of Vbagx so i try to do the best i can to make the game in the minimum, playable!

I wanna edit the rom to make it playable now, i m a rush type guy i hate waiting sorry...
It would be nice to edit the sound *bitrate*(I think this is how it's called) to make it sound better on mobile, it would be nice too if there was a way to make the sprites of the characters and enemies appear while in battle mode...all this by editing the game itself...

I wanna do all this but i have so little knowledge about what addresses and values do, all i know is to connect villages,caves,etc...
I wanna know more about this, help...

I didnt explain myself very well... I want to edit the game to play in my mobile but the emulator of gba for mobile phone MESSES UP the WORLD MAP making the game unplayable, thats why i m connecting them with houses, caves, etc.

Understand now?
#10
Yea too bad... well i ll just link each village through the houses, caves, etc.

Thx for the help!

The reason why i want this is because of Vbagx emulator of gba games for mobile phone, the golden sun games have the world map sprites all screwed up, not to mention that the animated sprites in battle dont appear to both enemy and allies, only appears the name of the enemies... but what i m trying to do is to link each village to each other, that way i dont need to use the world map, and i know some djinns are caugh only at world map im gonna do some editing about that later.

BTW The Teleport Lapis ideia is a good ideia, but is it possible to add it to GS1? I tried to add it using GS TLA but i coulnt find it, i only found catch beads, orb of force, etc

Hi, i m new in this forum, i m trying to edit Vale village to add some holes in the walls so that each hole can teleport you to other villages like Vault, Bilibin, Kalay, etc

I already know how to make the connection of the villages, i learned thanks to Atrius Guide ^^

What i don't know is how you extract the *sprites*(sorry i dont know if this is the real name) of the vilages and after editing them, putting them on the rom...

I would reallly appreciate if you enlighten me about this :)

P.S: i m sorry if this is wrong section, it's just this thread is perfect for you to understand what i m trying to tell you :)
