We included the time zone since we think it will help when making deadlines and such.

Seeing that we will have to make our forms ... "differ" from other clans i will probably have to add some extra stuff ..... really they are too similar to be different forms .... I will agree on Role's comment here.

It would be better for me as the Clan leader if this form is put in the first page, if a forum member like to join the clan then they will have to fill it and send it to me via a PM, i will post the result here.

First our hack will be simple, the characters will be edited and will have new base classes with different stats, meaning they might not have the same use as before. Psynergy will be more powerful, and will be empowered by weapons. The base elements in our hack will be changed as well to those related to fire.

 Mars Psynergy naming is changed, you will notice that all psynergy in a series are named the same name. The reason is simple, think about it this way, when you learn a new skill for example drawing, the more you draw the more experience you have in that field. Psynergy is the same if i might say, since we cannot have a character over learn a new psynergy when they level up, all psynergy in the same series are named the same name.  Mars

Since we can not change Venus, Jupiter and Mercury djinn to raise fire elemental power (heard that we need to change the code for that), the psynergy will still have the Venus, Jupiter and Mercury icons along with Mars. This might be changed in future versions.

Things to look up to:
1. Elements will be a combination of an element and Mars, meaning:
   a) Venus + Mars will be Magma/Volcano.
   b) Jupiter + Mars will be fire storm, this might be confusing but it's the widespread use of flames, fireballs ect.
  c) Mercury + Mars will be Steam and flowing fire.
  d) Pure Mars well this will focus on excessive flames and fire (ex: Flare series).

2. Classes will be changed to reflect the new elemental theme. Base classes will have new class names and psynergies.
3. Class bonuses now have a total of 610%.
4. Character stats have been changed to reflect there new role.
5. Psynergy will be more useful now since it gets a boost on power and is further increased through weapons.
6. Expect harder bosses, since they will get boost to there stats and will give more EXP and Coin.
7. Warrior types will have access to three weapon types while Mages will have access to two only.

    Isaac: Long Sword, Light Blade and Axe.
    Felix: Long Sword, Light Blade and Mace.
    Garet: Long Sword, Light Blade and Axe.
    Jenna: Light Blade and Staff.
    Ivan: Light Blade and Staff.
    Sheba: Mace and Staff.
    Mia: Mace and Staff.
    Piers: Long Sword, Light Blade and Mace.

8. Weapons will now boost elemental power and Armor will boost elemental resistance.

    Long Sword: Venus + Mars
    Light Blade: Venus + Mars + Jupiter
    Axe: Venus + Mars
    Mace: Mercury
    Staff: Mercury + Jupiter
    Heavy Armor: Venus + Mars + Mercury
    Light Armor: Venus + Mars + Mercury + Jupiter
    Robes: Mars + Mercury + Jupiter

9. Djinn names will be changed in order to reflect the new theme. Djinn effects will be changed but will still reflect the djinn name.

10. New weapon type will be added, the Glove which will be a Venus and Mars only weapon. It will not be added to the shop (in the future) and will stay as a drop only type.

11. New sprites for the characters (after the sprite editor is released) that will reflect the new FIRE theme.

12. Classes (non-base) will be re-created with different multipliers and psynergies.
  Mars This Means already done.

  Idea Move psynergy now can be used in battle as well as on the field  Exclamation

A new psynergy for Isaac ....... Piledrive and Magma Meteor  !!!!!!
Piledrive is an EPA with delusion effect.
Magma Meteor is a pure damage EPA.

New psynergy for Felix ....... Leavateinn and Fire Stone !!!!!
Leavateinn breaks the EPA single target rule as it's upgrade has a range of ALL.
Fire Stone is a pure base damage psynergy.

New psynergy for Garet ....... Holy Fire and Phoenix Inferno (Is shortened to Inferno due to long name)
Holy Fire is a pure damage EPA.
Inferno is a damage psynergy best used against groups of enemies.

Jenna's new psynergy ...... Spirit Rage and Fear Charm
Spirit Rage is the replacement for the Fume series and has a possibility of decreasing resistance.
Fear Charm is a debuff to reduce agility by half.

Ivan's new psynergy ...... Fire Bullet and Paralysis Flame
Fire Bullet is Ivan's single target psynergy and best used against bosses.
Paralysis Flame is a unique psynergy with the effect to paralyze a group of enemies for 1 turn.

Sheba's new psynergy ...... Searing Edge and World Aflame
Searing Edge will be Sheba's main attacking psynergy due to low attack power.
World Aflame is the strongest area damaging psynergy.

Mia's new psynergy ...... Frigid Flame and Fiery Vigor
Frigid Flame is Mia's only offensive Psynergy and each tier has a different effect.
Fiery Vigor is her single target healing and it might heal for double the usual amount.

Nightmare is an EPA with the special effect of HP absorption
Vengeance is a special psynergy with the effect or doubling the damage.

Errors and bugs that we already know about:
1. Classes for party 2, as they will not be able to use any other class other than there own base.
2. Some weapons have no use in the beginning of the game. Patch v1.2
3. Soul Burn's animation is meant for a single target psynergy, this will be fixed. Patch v1.2
4. Red Demon in battle sprite appears as a hand due to the Move psynergy replacing the sprite.

Hi, I'm working on a hack to link Golden Sun and Star Ocean together. Its a small hack for now but will get bigger  Sweat Drop hopefully.

This hack will be about the fourth title of Star Ocean. For now its only characters, classes and Items that will be changed. Later on i will try to add monsters from the Star Ocean games and make the game harder. With the new sprite editor that is coming ... i will try to have sprites closer to those 8 characters that i chose. And as soon as i learn how to edit the story (assuming that i can) i will try to change the story to match a star ocean game.

First patch will include only character changes, and will be posted as soon as i finish editing the characters.

Here is what i have done till now  Happy

I chose these eight characters from Star Ocean - The Last Hope, the main character Edge, his friend Reimi, Faieze, Lymle, Bacchus, Myuria (i will have to change this to Miuria duo to character restriction), Arumat and i think i will use Crowe as the final character but this might change.

And since Star Ocean does not have class system .. i will give each character one class only, depending on there weapon and usage or if they are assigned a position in the game. Also i will leave stats, class bonuses and skill power as a surprise.

I think you will notice (when patch is posted) that some skills have effects, but the original ones didn't .. i added that to give reason to use some of the skills.

And before i forget .. I want to thank Sajin for his animation list topic, it was super useful. And Atrius for the editor.

Edge Maverick:
Character sprite: Isaac.  
Class Type: Magic Knight.
Class: Captain.
Other Info: Focus on Light and supportive symbology. Light will be no attribute.
Weapon: Long Sword.
Armor: Heavy.

Skills: those will depend on the character attack power. I tried to match the animation to the description of the skill.

Name: Rising Blade (Lv. 1) (320|0)
Effect: Attack with rapid strikes.

Name: Aura Spark (Lv. 10) (18|1)
Effect: Unleash a focused energy.

Name: Cyclone Blade (Lv. 34) (160|4)
Effect: Attack with an Air Blade.

Name: Celestial Sword (Lv. 40) (61|0)
Effect: Conjure a sword to strike the enemy.

Symbology: those will depend on the character elemental power. I tried to match the animation to the description of the spell.

Name: Healing. (Lv. 5) (21|1) (In the actual game .. he gets this spell at a certain point in the plot)
Effect: Recovery Symbol. Small HP heals for one ally.

Name: Cure Condition. (Lv. 20) (24|1)
Effect: Support symbol. purifies one ally of all status ailments.

Name: Silence (Lv. 15) (38|0)
Effect: Support symbol. Seals the symbology of one target.

Name: Symbolic Weapon. (Lv. 36) (42|1)
Effect: Support symbol, absorb PP from an enemy. (Psynergy Drain skill, but the actual one allows the character to absorb PP with each hit for a duration)

Name: Radiant Lancer. (Lv. 17, 37, 47) (122|0, 1, 2)
Effect: Attack symbol. Attack with swords of light.

Name: Aurora Rings. (Lv. 20, 40, 60) (73|0, 1, 2)
Effect: Attack symbol.

Reimi Saionji:
Character sprite: Mia.  
Class Type: Archer (Only her skills will reflect this as i am unable to give her a bow) (On second thought, i will give the weapon an unleash to act as an arrow) (12|0).
Class: Slayer.
Other Info: Focus on special attacks and does not learn symbology.
Weapon: Mace (She will have only 4 maces to choose from, but after i can edit shops i can add more).
Armor: Light.

Name: Sonic Thorn. (Lv. 2) (126|0)
Effect: Fire a charged arrow at the enemy. May Inflict Poison.

Name: Crimson Squall. (Lv. 20) (20|1)
Effect: Attack with a powerful tornado.

Name: Hunters Moon. (Lv. 29) (105|0) (Multiplier)
Effect: Small arrows rain down upon the enemy.

Name: Crescent Wings. (Lv. 39) (307|0)
Effect: Attack with arrows adorned with wings. May confuse the enemy.

Name: Heavenly Flight. (Lv. 46) (461|0)
Effect: Attack with exploding arrows. Ignores defense.

Faize Seifa Beleth:
Character sprite: Ivan.
Class Type: Battle Mage.
Class: Magister.
Other Info: Focus on Earth and Ice symbology. Djinn increases Mercury power while weapon increases Venus power. Darkness will be no attribute. It seems i can give him the same elemental power for two elements so there will be no need for the emblem anymore.
Weapon: Light Blade.
Armor: Light.

Name: Pride.
Effect: Increases user’s speed. (changeable)

Symbology: those will depend on the character elemental power. I tried to match the animation to the description of the spell.

Name: Earth Glaive. (Lv. 1) (100|0) (Range of 3)

I think i will upload the first patch with only Felix's party edited till i edit all the characters, this way i get feedback and can change the other party accordingly. <= might change.

I'm DarkGriever, I'm a golden sun series fan and was looking for new stuff about the game and found your website so i registered myself    Happy

I don't really hack games but i think i can help with any other thing you guys might need ^^ especially testing that new hack your working on. oh and i really like that editor ....... just need to find a way to separate Felix and Sheba (although i don't mind them staying the way they are i don't like them anyway)

Daddy Poi's Oily Gorillas: I'm having a thought. So I know Atrius's editor is slow at saving sprites.... So I've been thinking.   I am considering another console program.  This time, for importing and exporting sprites/animations. Image files (for sprites), binary files (for animation data), and maybe binary or text files for Settings. Would certainly be cool if it works out. - Console programs are fun, when you can (at least temporarily) cheat out making a full interface editor for them. =P
