Obsolete is kinda the wrong word, Its just that there has been so little progress in the editor and then OpenGS comes along from outa nowhere and continually posts updates that surpass what I ever expected possible from a "Fan Game" to the point were it seems indistinguishable from the real thing. I'm all for the official Editor but lets face it, as it stands now, it will never be completed.  Lord Squrtle is Sala? lol I hate when people change their names, I thought you left ages ago lol!

Is there any point in the GBA editor now? OpenGoldenSun engine will render the editor obsolete as it will not be held down by the GBAs limitations providing he doesn't give up on it and doesn't release the code.

I did a course a few years ago on basic coding and it went over my head and that was basic stuff. Whenever the code is released, I will have a look at it and try and determine what does what, documenting on the way. Id be happy if I could make small alterations and maybe add new psyngery by using an existing one as a template. That said hopefully when it is all done, the engine is somewhat easy to use for dummies such as myself. :P

Ah shiz, we can insert sprites. I assumed that icons would have been possible too as it seems easier.

Im pretty sure this can be done in the current editor as long as the icons inserted are compatible using correct pallette colours etc . Role has made quite a few of them. Welcome btw.

How long is the process from choosing what psyngery to implement to >>>> Having it inserted in engine? Like, does the thought of adding 100s of psyngery seem daunting? I would imagine it would be yet rewarding when it works and comes together. I am so envious of your ability. :sad:

That's awsome man. Some neat puzzels could be implemented with that and even could used with other pysngery or be used to add in new puzzels to past areas. It would be a neat near end game psyngry to get.

I fall into bad hapbits of going to bed late, for years I stayed up to 2am at least everynight, even if i had work or school the next day, for a few months there I was going well and kinda got outa it and I felt fresh as expected but its half 1am now so its slipping back into it. Yesterday I was up to half 5. literally doing nothing

To help me get to sleep I put one earphone in and stick on a podcast

Giant bombcast
IGN UK podcast
Podcast Beyond
etc etc

Demo is great Joao, Whilst there is things that rpg maker would naturally limit your build is really good. Can ladders be adjusted so it shows climbing animation or is that the best the editor can do. Jumping puzzels and jumping in general is a big part of the game. Im intrigued to see how you will get around that with the editor.

Its a really old project that predates this board. There is a demo you can play, but I wouldn't bother. There was no real polish on it unlike the new Open GS dudes project.

EDIT: Skimmed over your msg. If links are dead then Id say not much chance on finding it as there wasnt much reason to hold onto it.
