Not meaning to be off-topic, but good luck on your hack!

I follow Zman on that note. Props on the profile pic, wanted to say that but it kept skipping my mind.

Downloading to test now :).

Edit: Got an error message, in the data browser I got an error when trying to call up the data for 217 and after (The "Tileset?" boxes). It failed to call the file size.

Oh, and in the about, it shows the year as 2012 under your listing xD. The date shows as today though.
21  Golden Sun Hacking Community / Feedback / Re: Future of the site? on: January 27, 2013, 02:47:54 PM
I didn't read every post word for word, but I got a good idea on each of them.

Personally, I like Tea's first post where he suggests branching from hacking to full information on the Golden Sun games. It might be worth it to spend some time building a section that acts as a database for all information on Golden Sun.

I myself don't like the idea of a RP forum, but that's just me. If others like the idea, I won't leave simply because of a topic change here. What I would like to see is more visitors. More content that matches what people google in combination with "Golden Sun" means more possible visits. More visits means more possible people joining our ranks. More people joining means more content and interest. It's a cycle that we ourselves have to start and keep going.

If I was any good at coding, I would be working on the editor, but my website coding is shoddy at best these days, and I've only ever attempted making a program once.....Bad experience. That said, I'm still very interested in seeing a complete editor, as well as seeing the Community Hack created.

Leaf, keep the witty comments to yourself. If this was a hate thread, I'm pretty sure we would know about it.

Real mature, I get down-voted for trying to defend someone -.-

That'll surely be welcome here. Shouldn't we move this conversation somewhere else though, before Kain skins us all?
24  The Community / Tech, Gaming and Entertainment / Re: Minecraft! on: October 21, 2012, 04:47:46 PM
I discovered earlier that the server I just brought back up with minecraft classic has apparently had quite a bit of work done on it within a matter of days.

The entire main is now one big pyramid dome with various stuff built inside of it. I'm going to assume that was the work of somebody looking for a minecraft server to build on through the public listing. It's public unless the members here vote to make it a GSHC member only server, where you require the link. I'm leaving any decisions concerning minecraft servers running on my hardware up to the community here since I put it up for you guys.

Don't take it the wrong way Role, we are boasting about your godliness o-o....
26  The Community / Open Discussion / Re: People Who Post on: October 21, 2012, 01:37:53 PM
This seems like a nice idea Teawater. I'm for it. It might actually be easier to write a plug-in that gathers the data itself through the SQL database and displays it on a page. But with our main admin and dev pretty busy atm, that seems like a pipe dream.

I still need to get around to buying the actual game. All I've done so far is build a huge mansion (Which I later lost the data for) in Classic, and various other classic projects with my friend Izzy. Who should actually be a member on these forums but he disappeared shortly after I got him to join. He turned 18 today, I'll have to scold him a bit for vanishing when I see him later today.

Welcome to the GSHC Forums, where if you piss off Role, she'll take your head off and somehow feed it to you o-o.

Nah, just kidding, she really has gotten a lot better at controlling her anger.....or maybe we got better at not pissing her off.....

Either way, sit down, relax, join a clan and have fun! If you need anything, just ask one of us here, we don't mind ^^. Please be an active member though, we seem to be short on those lately.

Nah Robert, I actually just got a server going for the community. Though I wonder if anyone has even noticed.....It's in the same forum section as this thread....
30  The Community / Tech, Gaming and Entertainment / Community Minecraft (And others) Server on: October 14, 2012, 05:35:16 PM
Everything can be accessed using "Kanakun.com" and the assigned port. It's not that hard. If you can't figure it out, just ask.
Alright, this is a new topic for my server which I've done a lot of updating on and with new IP/Domain name/Speed. So long ago~

It is currently hosting a Minecraft server on Port 25565
A minecraft Classic server on port 25566
A file/Web server on port 8080

Port 80 is not available for use due to the restrictions on my new ISP.

Speed has now been upgraded from 6Mbps Down/ 768Kbps up, to 15Mbps down/1.5Mbps up. Blah. Same old story. It's fast, let's put it that way.

If anyone needs it for something, let me know and I'll set it up for you.

ryancaesar12345: jupiter revive animation any?
June 24, 2019, 08:05:17 AM
Fox: Such a patch would mean you need to be careful with item drops, coins, exp, etc. Because those things would then no longer be an infinite supply.  Whether or not one uses it depends on what they want to do with it.
June 24, 2019, 07:55:01 AM
Fox: (High enough being based on the area you are in.)
June 24, 2019, 07:54:02 AM
Fox: I had a thought today. What if I look into making a simple patch just for lulz.  One that works the same way as using Avoid, but it lasts from start to finish, and can't be disabled.  Avoid only works if your levels are high enough, though... so thought is to keep that as is.

ryancaesar12345: i have no account in discord.*
June 23, 2019, 08:44:52 PM
Salanewt: Although in the case of Wish, you could probably just use Breeze instead.
June 23, 2019, 08:44:36 PM
Salanewt: Yeah, it's a messaging program sort of like Skype. I find that it's much easy to walk people through some of the basics of assembly, since that's what you'll need for most animation hacks.
June 23, 2019, 09:39:10 AM
ryancaesar12345: discord? im not good in asm or assembly.
June 22, 2019, 09:37:26 AM
MaxiPower: gpnna update my thread on progress of my character art if anyones interested. :P
June 21, 2019, 07:51:44 PM
Salanewt: Hey there! Animation editing can be tricky, but I can share some notes with you if you pop in on our Discord. Are you good with assembly?

ryancaesar12345: and how to change a death curse turn in hex editor?
June 21, 2019, 02:50:00 PM
ryancaesar12345: and how to make animation but changing palette only like wish blue i want to change violet. for AOE healing and earth element.
June 21, 2019, 02:47:44 PM
ryancaesar12345: im done already thanks man i change the icon in that tutorial and all i need is animation most of elemental like healing like wish but wind element. how to import animation in TLA editor in *game crashes* index
June 21, 2019, 12:01:35 PM
Fox: Oh that. You are talking about Caledor's tutorial?
June 21, 2019, 11:49:55 AM
Fox: So in little endian... 08FA0000 (32-bit) is the same as 00 00 FA 08 (8-bits) (Since GBA is little endian) ;;; but if this were big-endian, it would have been 08 FA 00 00 (8-bits)
June 21, 2019, 11:42:17 AM
Fox: "in the ROM file" = I mean when using any other hex editor to look in the file... ROM section in VBA is 08000000-09FFFFFF, but ROM files are different sizes, so GS1 stops a quarter the way (08800000 / 8MB), and GS2 stops half way. (09000000 / 16MB)
June 21, 2019, 11:39:55 AM
Fox: I am not sure I understand what you are trying to do? ... But all little endian is is just reverse byte. (of the bytes in a data type).... So like... 8-bit is the same regardless of big or little endian. 16-bit is like 0102=big endian 0201=little endian .... 32-bit is like 01020304=big endian ; 04030201=little endian.  (I use 01-04 numbers to represent how the bytes are ordered by address.) ; 00FA0000 in the ROM file is 08FA0000 in VBA's memory viewer/and that's how it works when the game reads
June 21, 2019, 05:20:47 AM
ryancaesar12345: i sa that in icon compressor 00FA0000 -> in 00FA0008 hmm?
