Close this please >>. I can't get back the old patch or notes so its just server-space :/
If one is to gain something, they must take it from someone else.
Such is the end effect of the Law of Equivilent Exchange. In the end, each breath you take is one you are taking from another person.
So, how does that make you feel when someone dies of deprivation?

If white people are white due to living in a climate with moderate sun and snow, and black people are black due to the large amounts of melanin in their skin caused by living under the taxing sun, why are asians [slanty eyed and yellow]?
Veryy intresting once I looked this up, it came up with "due to harsh conditions involving strong sunlight, strong winds [therefore, dust being kicked up]. It makes sense if you think about it, but thats the reason? Haha, trolololol.

Sounds interesting, although I think I shall try it out later today (if I have enough time). It sounds like fun though.

QuoteI need a teacher for Text changing, Map Editing, and Event adding. That being said, copying and pasting patch notes.

Text editing is fairly simple, but there are some character combinations that can not be compressed together because of the current tables. We can not really edit maps, but we can move/change the sprites on them, as well as change what they say. If you are better at Hex editing, you can probably do some more advances stuff with events. I have much more experience with some different games though, so there is not much that I can do to help with this stuff. As for patches, it looks like you know how to make them already, which is pretty good. As for using them, you also need LIPS for that. To copy them, I would imagine that it is the same as copying any other file (unless you are asking about something else).

Without testing it, I like the current changes that you have described. However, with the effects that those four items have now (Bramble Seed, Oil Drop, etc.) you might have to make them slightly rarer after those battles. I take it that the Ancient Token is supposed to be a useless artifact that sells for quite a bit, right? Just to make sure, is that Punch Ant the same one that appears throughout Indra, or did you use a new slot solely for that battle? I am just wondering because the 1/8 drop rate seems a bit high for something that costs 10, 000 coins. For example, after 80 kills, one would likely have anywhere from 5-15 (or even more/less) of them, and multiplying them by 10, 000 increases the income substantially.

Overall, it looks good. I will see what I can do tonight for testing it, but I will have some more work to do later today.

Have a nice day.
Oh yeah baby, £ me harder.

Fusion is just a cheap tactic to make weak Adepts stronger.

Yoshi's Lighthouse is a hacking website in progress. Why not check it out if you like Yoshi or the Mario & Luigi games?

The Ancient Token is meant to be expensive so as to be able to afford the new armor, weapons, and items I'll be placing in shops [learning, hopefully I can do it right]. I'd really like to learn how to apply a new unit to battle, for plenty of reasons like "boss monsters" that you could find in the back of caves or special places, or 2-3 drops for the same monster [eg: Punch ant table would be 1/8 Ancient Token and possibly 1/32 custom]. Hmm, though you're right. I'll change the rate to 1/32 for Ancient Tokens and give it another run in a moment. I'm so happy that VBA has a speed function.

Bugs and errors i found so far: (Will update this as soon as i find a new bug)

I find it strange that a sword gives more elemental power rather than a staff, i mean shouldn't the mages have the higher elemental power?

1. infinite use of Oil drops.
2. The first and second Ruffians Jenna fights gives 25 exp and 100 coins, and its neither of what you have specified for the Ruffian unless the first one is different.
3. The 3 Ruffians group gave 75 exp rather than 100 (50 + 25 + 25) and 300 coins not 200 (100 + 50 + 50).

Oil drops are infinite? hmm thats strange. time to get coding.
In the program I coded it so that the first ruffian [Ruffian 1] gives 100 coins and 50 exp, because you should be fighting 3x Ruffian 1 [First one on the first screen, second on the second screen, and the third one in the group.] This way you can get a small-decent amount of coins and exp before you sit thru the boring cutscene.. Guess it didn't work. I'll just equalize it [all 100/all 50] Thinking about lowering their attack power and removing the oil drops/crystal powder/bramble seed/weasel's claw if I can't make them non infinite.

TESTERS NEEDED

This hack is meant to be kind of like the Maniac version I've seen around here. Its link got deleted while I was looking around for it [V 1.05?] and I've.. basically not been able to get it. So I'm starting my own. Also, you should be able to obtain EVERY item by the time I finish this hack; possibly duplicates. I'll try adding more "boss fights", and remaking the storyline [I will need a tutor for basic usage of text re-edits, party edits, and map edits. Yes, I might start maps from scratch O_o.]

That would be my maniac mode hack you're talking about. I hadn't realized that it had been deleted. I'll re-upload it for it so you can use it as a reference. Also, it's V 1.2

EDIT: GSTLA Maniac Mode Hack V 1.2

Edit: Actually, I have no idea. I looked in the editor, it says "Items: single use" so I have no idea what's up. You may want to ask Atrius.

:!: :!:
Atrius, come help us. Your editor made the item "Oil Drop" change from a single use to a multiple use [check in yours if its also 0.3]

-Also; Zach
YAY I can play yours now? But making my own also sounds like fun. I'll try both at the same time.. Or.. who knows =p

Yes you may, if you need an idea you may use one from my hack

The editor did everything correctly, in game if you go to the inventory screen select an Oil Drop then details even the game says it's supposed to be single-use.  Something else is going on here that has to do with an oddity in the game's engine itself.

Okay: Next patch, expect removal of [ALL] weasel claws, bramble seeds, oil drops, and crystal powders. If they don't disappear, its very unbalanced as all you need to do is click it and watch a ton of damage fall onto everyones heads. Seriously, you could own Dullahan w/ that.
While I'm at it, I might as well announce what else I'll be adding; Up to [meaning not including] Air's Rock. Yeah, that place near Garoh. I'll be coding in all possible items that can be obtained up to this point [I played the normal game for about 3 hours running into all the monsters, and checking all the nearby shops. So, don't go into Air's Rock because it'll be easy.

So..... Another question; I just edit the first post to show updates? Or do I start a new thread.. Or post as a.. I'll just post on the first thread and try to set the notes into a code box [teach me how to O-o i think i get the idea but meh]

Sorry progress has been very slow lately; I haven't been getting enough sleep, Schools around [along with state assessments], Finals are coming up in like two weeks, and I have a stack of homework bigger then a 2" Binder. I'll try and release a stable [slightly balanced] v 0.2 before Christmas tho.

1) Edit and modify are the same thing
2) There were 4-5 days between the posts. I don't think the doubleposting is that big of a problem.

That sucks, but I know how that feels as it happened to me after I edited about 1/6 of the game (including classes, enemies, items, and psynergy). You can imagine how badly that sucked =_=. Advice to you: Make a log of all your changes; i.e: have a notepad on changes (1 section per notepad); Make a back-up copy on your flash drive (if you have one), DON'T GIVE UP!

Rockisftw

Yeah flash drives are a good idea, I need to get one. I also want EDGE to release the new patch so I can play GSDD.. :X.
