Light and Dark psynergy are hinted at in the original games, and I think it would be interesting to add those catigorys as well as allow people to create psynergys for it.

How I see it so far
:NeutralStar: is people W/O psynergy
:VenusStar: is people with Venus as their main type
:MercuryStar: is people with Mercury as their main type
:MarsStar: is people with Mars as their main type
:JupiterStar: is people with Jupiter as their main type
:Luna: is people with Darkness based Psynergy things like drain HP/PSY or summon zombie.
:Sol: is people with Light based Psynergy

you'd have to be really good at ASM hacking to do something like that.

This doesn't account for derivative elements, iirc.

Non-elemental could be something like "Overall power vs Overall Resist"
Others could use something like "Average of Venus and Mars Power vs Average of Mercury and Jupiter Resist"

So it IS possible to code, once we get ASM editing.  You should be able to fit 3 new "elements", or at least that's what the values in the editor would lead you to believe.

it might be possible if I could add more elements into the editor and ROM. I'd have to change the peramiter number to a higher count to add the extra 2.

The game's engine only supports 4 elements.  The editor is only intended to edit the game within the boundaries of it's engine.  If you REALLY wanted to reprogram Golden Sun into a racing game it is possible, but with the amount of effort it would take you might as well just edit a racing game instead.  There will be no support in the editor to add more elements.

Wait, so he's asking for full-fledged elements, like adding power and resist for two NEW ones?  No, we can't really do that.  Derivatives are pretty much the best we can do.
