I've crunched some numbers, and came up with some averages.  Once we get far enough in this little project, we should be able to replace the base classes with new stuff for our new characters (assuming new characters are used).

At the time of this post, I've only run averages for base classes.  I used four types of averages for the Percent Multiplier.  They are:

Base Class Level, with Luck
Base Class Level, without Luck
Max Class Level, with Luck
Max Class Level, without Luck

6 stage classes are the ones you get when you have djinn of your symbiotic element.
5 stage classes are the ones you get when you have djinn of either your neutral or opposing element.
4 stage classes are the ones granted by items.
3 stage classes are the ones that use two types djinn of those not of your element, with the opposite as the primary
2 stage classes are the ones that use two types of djinn of those not of your element, with the symbiotic as the primary

Examples:

6 Stage: Hermit -> Elder -> Scholar -> Savant -> Sage -> Wizard
5 Stage: Page -> Illusionist -> Enchanter -> Conjurer -> War Adept
4 Stage: Dark Mage -> Crypt Lord -> Necrolyte -> Necromage
3 Stage: Ninja -> Disciple -> Master
2 Stage: White Mage -> Pure Mage

Due to the variability of Base classes, the Overall Min, Average, and Max values are only taken of the Max Stage classes.

With this, we can say for the most part, the general average stat multiplier for custom classes should fall between these ranges, for balancing issues.   ^-^

Nice job, this should definitely prove useful to people down the road.

I'm working on an ability editor right now, it's pretty close to done.  After that I'll probably work on character, and class stats.

It may be a good idea to combine the ability and class stat editors once you get it up and running.  Character, though, should be separate, since you're editing their stat gains, rates, base class, resistances, etc...

I, personally, am VERY for being able to make the main characters weak to their elemental opposite, rather than the element they have a symbiotic relationship with.  Just makes more sense that way...  I'll do my best to add info, though. ^-^

The ability editor isn't for which abilities you learn, it actually edits the abilities themselves so you can change their PP cost, target range, damage, e.t.c.

Oh, wow.  So basically a way to create new psynergies...

Hmm, well, that means I've got at least 2 more reference guides, for Character Level Gains and for Psynergy Strength//Range/Cost comparison...

Edit:  Oh wow, I just fell in love with the game Mechanics Guide over in GameFAQs...  That's gonna help me with these average ranges ALOT...

I'd just like to point out Felix isn't Isaac's clone if that's who you're referring to. He has higher attack and speed but lower luck defence and PP.

His class is exactly the same.  Thus, worthless clone.  Besides, UNLIKE Isaac, you cannot reliably gain perfect levels for Felix, thus he has no redeeming qualities other than being sexy.  I intend to fix that by giving him a similar, but different class all his own.  And I did.

I assume you did the same for Sheba then as well? Though did you give Felix a different physical psynergy or does he still have Ragnarok and Odyssey?  Felix> Isaac btw

Fox: Okay. Posted (in Downloads section) an initial cutdown version for now, for my text compressor. Basically to separate the code from my Editor for anyone who wants to mess with it. It only supports GS2, because I still didn't add the addresses/etc. for the other games.

Fox: If you want to make it "permanent" (part of a hack), then you'd edit code in the ROM that writes to this location of the IDs you'd want to change. (You can find these locations by using a breakpoint debugger like SDL-H or no$gba.)
