As a kid I loved street fighter 2 champion edition in the arcade.  But I loved the bootleg taiwan champion edition arcade hacks also.  Naturally some of the stuff used in the unofficial arcade hacks were great and some of the things were annoying / silly.  A while ago I decided to see just exactly what makes the bootleg hacks tick.  I've since managed to completely modify champion edition using the hex code found in the m5 unofficial hack.  My hacks are full playable both on my regular cps1 arcade board as well as in emulators.

Here's my first hack which is completely non-serious I call it punishment edition:

And here's my more serious hack.  This version is quite playable with all characters.  I also did my best to re-balance the characters so no one character has any unfair advantage.  I removed all the stupid stuff that the hackers added and kept all the good things.  I also customized a lot of the physics, super moves, and added a number of new things.  I call this hack "sheng long edition"

This is only the second romhack I've ever done.  The first romhack I did was just a simple pallette swap in a game.  Needless to say I've managed to pull off a lot of huge changes with this hack.

Nice hacks you did there!

Thanks.  These hacks are pretty much done I just need to finish programming some alternate pallettes for when you change character mid round just so you don't both end up looking identical and getting confused which guy you're in control of.
