Now when you reach 500 posts, you become a "Veteran".

Advantages of being a Veteran:

-shorter flood control limit
-can delete own posts
-can lock own topics
-more personal message space
-blue coloured name
-can upload larger user photos (200x200 pixels). They are viewable in your profile.

Also, in order to prevent spam, you will be a New User before you gain 15 posts. The differences:

-longer flood control limit
-cannot email other members
-smaller PM space
-cannot create polls
-cannot edit topics and description

However, this is not a legitimate reason to spam, and if it is abused, I will remove it.

I'm also going to see if I can make it that all members who sign up must be approved by either Atrius or I (I'll go through the validation process every day).

For a while, it used to be possible to delete my own posts. Now I can't.

You can still edit them though. And, you can tell me to delete them :3

I have a question. If a post is deleted, then it is still logged (or rather, is it still viewable by the administrators)?

That is good. Just in case somebody deletes something that is worthy oh a ban (you should be fine for a while though).

Isn't deleting for that? You use it to take back something that was a mistake to say.

True, but what if they did not want to take it back, but they did to avoid getting banned? Or, what if they had a higher warning level (already did it in the past), and they did it again? However, there is probably nothing to worry about (at least until there are about 10+ Veterans).

Certainly higher than a lot of other peoples. This should move to the Cbox, and all of these off-topic posts should be deleted. And Charon should respond to my complaint about the validation process.

Validation process, I don't like it either, I figure it could be one of the things that will make people not even try registering because of that? But then again, that was just a thought. I wonder if they'll be any other groups pass Veteran. Just think: Super-Veteran

Thanks and... Really? Well, (edit) it is now 15.6. That really isn't hard to catch up to (although this is the only forum that I visit regularly).

Anyway, I would remove validation as well if members who are already registered do not like it.
