So I had the idea to make a thread about anime-erus, and then I stumbled on this.

Wow. I missed something awesome when I up and left. Didn't I? I've been wanting to have this sort of thing for a while, since most of my real-life friends either have zero interest in anime, or vehemently criticize every little detail of it. Additionally, I have been wanting to do some real literary analysis on anime, and it's a bit hard to do without other people to convey the information. So perhaps we can revive this topic? Or perhaps just discuss anime?

Right now I'm re-watching Fullmetal Alchemist:Brotherhood, and although I suppose there everybody has seen it, there are A LOT of cool things the narrative does to draw you in, and make you feel similar emotions to the characters. We don't have to do FMA, but here are a few anime to look at, which I haven't seen a lot of people talk about.

I somewhat suspect that the previous joviality stopped because people kept on flaking out or other some such nonsense. Even so, I'd like to try to restart this. Although watching the anime together fills me with geeky delight, if things don't pan out I think we can still discuss each show here on this thread or something along those lines.

Kara no Kyoukai (the original series of OVAs, or Mirai Fukuin)
Scrapped Princess
Blast of Tempest
Souleater
Baccano!
Fate/Stay Night (ULBW)
Fate/Zero

etc. etc.

So what of it?
"You state that I have misinterpreted my results, and it looks as though you believe my views to be unsound. Your arguments are those of an eminent scholar. I was myself a fair scholar. For years I pondered, so to speak, day and night over books, and filled my head with sound views–very sound ones, indeed—those of others. But I could no[t] get to practical results. I then began to work and think independently. Gradually my views became unsound, but they conducted me to some sound results." - Nikola Tesla
