   I just want to say hi and how awesome it is to be a part of a community that loves Golden Sun series as much as I do! I am here to learn everything there is to know about hacking golden sun from creating icons to full models. If anyone wants to point me to the right direction at where to start or would like to teach me some basics I am here to learn :D

Hey there, good to have you.
Well, if you haven't done any game hacking earlier, I would start out with the Golden Sun editor... you can use it to edit classes, psynergy, items/equipment, enemy/boss encounters, djinn and... yeah, most things related to the in-game battles. The means of editing graphics and maps are currently rather limited, though. You could change the graphics of the player characters, but not much else.

Hello, and welcome! Let us know if you need any help with hacking stuff. While there is a lot you can do with the editor, there is so much more that you can't do with it. Whether your hack develops one way or another will largely depend on how much effort you want to invest in it. If icons and sprites/models are what you want, then you may very well want to browse through some topics for info on this stuff; the compression topic that has been posted in recently may help with some of that in particular.
