What origin do you think it has?

I'll be asking y'all some questions about some origin of stuff in the games.
I will use this information for my fanfic.

So I'll start  with the mysterious Cloak Ball.
We know that Babi got it from somewhere... and that he's been to Lemuria (and probably a lot of places).
But where does this thing really come from?

"Hear the sounds and melodies
Of rilets flowing down
They're the verlasting songs
Whispering all the time
As a warning that behind some rocks
There's a rigid grap even
Oreads fear the tread"

Lord Wolfram

Good one question.
He obtained it at Lemuria.

Daddy Poi's Oily Gorillas

Generic answer is generic:  Where in Lemuria, and by who (if anyone)? And how did the Cloak Ball come into existence?

The idea with making any game or hack (And  maybe even fanfics) with references of past events from the Original games seems too likely to lead to contradictions in my opinion? (If you're not careful.)
Golden Sun Docs: Broken Seal - The Lost Age - Dark Dawn | Mario Sports Docs: Mario Golf & Mario Tennis | Misc. Docs
Refer to Yoshi's Lighthouse for any M&L hacking needs...

Sometimes I like to compare apples to oranges. (Figuratively) ... They are both fruits, but which one would you eat more? (If taken literally, I'd probably choose apples.)
Maybe it is over-analyzing, but it doesn't mean the information is useless.

The only GS Discord servers with significance are:
Golden Sun Hacking Community
GS Speedrunning
/r/Golden Sun
GS United Nations
Temple of Kraden

Can you believe how small the Golden Sun Community is?

2+2=5 Don't believe me? Those are rounded decimal numbers. Take that, flat earth theorists! :)

Uhh yeah I've encountered that before. But I'm very cautious, and look up any info that is documented (mostly GoldenSun wiki). But I am also looking at what the fans think.

Maybe he stole it from Lemuria castle.
After then he escaped with stolen ship.

Luna_blade

Hmm, sounds logical, but how did he steal a bunch of Draught and that Ball, which was probably somehow guarded, that easily? Also nobody in Lemuria talks about Babi having stolen their precious Ball.

But it is still a possible theory since the Cloak Ball is of Mecury allignment.

Babi was trusted and was guarding Lemurian treasures.
In that night he stole mystic drought and cloak ball.
He asked Lunpa to come with him but Lunpa decides to stay.
Babi left Lemuria alone.
it is my theory

These is pictures from Lemuria.

Luna_blade

Okay, so Babi dug up / found the Cloak Orb and stole the draught (I knew that part about the draught already but okay) then fled Lemuria using one of their ships?

I haven't actually seen all of these screenshots in the game BTW.

This far we got things.screenshots I made by Myself.
So next thing to analise?

Luna_blade

Okay new origin requests:

  • Loho Ruins
Not much is known about these ruins.

  • The Trident
Is it really Ankhols trident? And how about the trident Poseidon currently has? Are they perhaps similar?

*I do have theories of my own for these two, but I'm curious what you guys think.

I can think something about ancient Loho fortress.
Or you do wish about something of these times?

I guess both.

So my theory about Loho is, that it was originally made by the dwarfes in the ground. (that explains why they are excavating it). However why they don't know this is their fortress is bacause they left the place a long time ago (I guess they were forced to leave. Why would they willingly give it up?) and went to the north. With the growing cold, they returned and many memories from the early days had vanished.

The Trident of "Ankhol"
I think it's the trident of some creature/god that oposed Poseidon. It may be even the grudge of that creature taken the form of a trident.
