Basically, Ivan's mind read has an alternative effect - it allows him to send messages to others with only his mind.
So, Ivan uses Reveal to see the cards and sends those messages to the man next to him, Steven, so that he can win more money. Ivan has the powers, Steven knows the rules.

Woo, been a while.

Being in AP Art means I have to chug out a ton of more pieces. Oddly enough, I need to make 7 pieces by next Friday, while for the remainder of the year I need to make 2 pieces for every two weeks. To make matters worse, most of the classtime is used doing a bunch of assorted "fun" projects, but not anything particularly "Portfolio-worthy". My solution? Do a ton of crap on computer. Here's what I've got thus far, and one I'm working on (I'm actually working on two but I'm nowhere near finished on that one)

Daw... isn't it just the most adorable thing ever? I remember when I first saw one of these little guys - they were so cute, I wanted to pet it! Of course, it flew away though :3

A Memoir of a Night-Heron

Nobody really makes artwork of Night-Herons. I love 'em! They're sweet slick little herons that hang out in groups by day, but by night they are ferocious hunters with an extremely varied diet. Like regular herons they impale their prey with a fast jab of their bill.

The Archer
The theme for most of my art is going to be "Flight"; this is kind of a stretch, but the idea is that the archer is running so fast it seems like he's flying. Also - Flee/Flight meh. I'm drawing him in a very simplistic manner, but don't worry, this one will have colour. Also the midground is completely empty ATM but there will be stuff in there too. He's not really supposed to be anyone in particular (except gordin, but I've had a facination with archers lately, and I think they're an interesting theme. Also, I'm using something called "Liquid Inks", they have some really cool spreading effects. Here's my plan if anyone wants to see:

It seems that I missed your last post Charon (and a few of them too), sorry about that. Anyway, I like your pictures. From your last batch, I favour the Downy Woodpecker. Quick question, but do you have a different host that you can use to upload it? The .jpg format does not do it any justice.

The Night-Herons look nice as well, and I like how you incorporated the rainbow in that piece. Can we expect any more pictures soon?

Of course! I just didn't post much because I didn't want a long line of just my posts...



So this is a little postcard my friend Josh and I made for a family friend that lives out of the country (actually its for her grandchildren but we didn't label it yet). The idea was just to make something so ridiculously awesome that the kids would just marvel in its ridiculous awesomeness. You get the jiz.

This is the front. I think it's pretty obvious who did what on this one (our styles are so different XD) The text says "Detroit sees an amazing battle between a giant robot and a dinosaur!" (I'm not sure of the level of English the kids recieving it is so I kept it simple) THE ISLAND MUST BE BELLE ISLE IT MUST BE

This is the back. Obviously it had both of our emails on it but I'm obviously not going to give out my friend's email without permission (yeah it says Happy Holidays because they're literally going to recieve this in December. no kidding. I'll probably write a few other things, namely "To [...] from [..]").

I'm making another one, but this time for the grandmother herself. She's not like a super old grandma (actually she looks surprisingly young for her age). I think I'll send her one of my bird pictures. She seems to like nature lots so I think she'll like it. I'll post before I send. kinda slightly pays off her sending us presents every year you know lol i mean my mom sent her grandkids presents but still XD

Yeah I don't mind you guys reading the letter. Trying to keep it simple but she speaks English relatively well. Also the "present" I'm sending to her grandkids is the dinosaur/robot picture that I posted earlier this month.



I have no idea what compelled me to make this, actually. I thought it'd be pretty funny I guess... It's not even intended to be political satire, like a lot of "Obama-Change" lookalikes. The original subtitle was going to be "A HUR DERP" but I decided that it would upset pansies and it really kinda put Obama in a bad light, who I actually kinda like now, so it'd actually be against my political opinions.

OH LOOK WHO ITS NOT lolololol. However, this is a much better representation of her personality - although the other sketch also captured this, the crop featured in my avatar trimmed off what she was doing (sewing) and made her look... devious (which is particularly unlike her... from what I know D: )



So, here's a pretty weird comic. It's an 8 page comic, but what's unusual about it is that the conselors at school thought it was a "cry for help". They ended up calling my mum because of this. I swear, if a single social worker is called on this... >_>

Anyways it's not actually fully done, I'm doing some stuff with acryllic :D

001. Probably my biggest mistake was to mention an actual place. Oops. Oddly enough though they didn't make a note of that at all o.o ... or the fact that most of the time nobody is wearing any clothes
002. And somehow they don't get me on the guy throwing a knife at someone either...
003. Again, nobody notices the obvious lack of clothing
004. More lack of clothes. Although notice that the apparition doesn't have any genetalia. I thought that was the only way I could portray someone nude without making it in any way sexual
005. So this was the last page they got to see, and get this. What made them think that I was going over the edge was the quote "I have no identity, no friends, no life. I am in complete and utter despair. And you, only you, are the reason to why I'm like this." So did they forget that he was DEAD or something? How the heck is a dead guy talking about how miserable he is being dead supposed to advocate suicide? I don't get it.
006. I hate having my copics being practically dry.
007. Okay, I'm definately glad I didn't show this page to those dimwits. Seriously, if they saw this they'd have a total meltdown CAUSE THEY DON'T ### GET IT.
008. Quite possibly the best ending I've ever given to a story ever. haha

Sorry to hear about your own grandmother, but at least you have someone else to replace them.

Hehe, it might just be the wording that they think relates to suicide, but if they forgot that he was already dead... not to mention that they ignored the nudity, then it seems a bit odd for them to only notice that. I guess it is almost like making a very broad or generalized reference to a bomb when you are at an airport. "Look mommy, Mario is pushing that bob-omb around on the-" *sirens*

That comic is quite the read. So... what exactly did happen? It's so confusing...
Anyway, the art is awesome! The little kiddies will definitely like the postcards. Unless they don't. Oh well.

[spoiler=Ending Explaination]Well, I tried to make it as clear as possible without blatantly saying it, but let's just say the apparition at the end isn't the same as the one in the beginning. As in he's Gordon, after he commited suicide.[/spoiler]

Basically with the school, what happened is that I gave the comic to my art teacher for her to critique, and she said that she should show the consolours because it was kind of dark. I'm taken down to the consouling office where I have to explain for 45 minutes that this work is in no way suicidal and that its dark side is simply the way of making the story have an interesting tone. I was really worried that I'd be in trouble, but my mom didn't give a damn. Actually, she wondered why they were wasting my time with this crap. XD

I'm pretty sure they'll like it, but I have no idea if they even read English XD
