Ness is awesome. I almost never use anyone else in Melee.

Pit's nowhere near a Ness clone (that's what Lucas is for) but he's comfortable as well.

Either my friends have been sucking lately or I've been getting better - I swept Metaknight to the side yesterday in a 1-1. lol they spam his teleport move to get closer to me so I just punish them for being so predictable lol

Probably both. Outside of a banworthy glitch you can do with it that gives infinite invincibility, his teleport sucks >_>

Hm... Now that I only have an exam before I am finished this course, I think that I will be able to get wifi soon.

Also, after watching some wishlist videos that people (some of which are deranged) made, I have two things to ask...

1. Characters you would like to see in the next Smash Bros., if there will be another one.

2. Characters you wish do not return, if there is a new installment for the series.




New Characters:

Mario/DK:

Bowser Jr.
Dixie Kong
Baby Mario (but none of the other babies)

Zelda:

Toon Zelda/Tetra (unless Toon Link goes)

Pokemon:

The new Dark type legendary (but only if Lucario goes)
Mewtwo (Just kidding)

Star Fox:

Krystal (have not played very much of the Fox franchise, but she looks cool)

Fire Emblem:

Lynn
Ephraim (someone with a spear would be nice for a change)

Tails (only if Sonic does not go away)

Toon Link (but only if there is no Toon Zelda)


And this is it. I actually don't mind the rest of the characters too much.

And they need to include a spear-wielding FE lead in SSB at some point. Sword characters are really overdone.

I don't really care if there's a smash 4 at this point. Brawl hacking can give me everything I could want out of a smash 4 and more. Although I'm sure nintendo will eventually cash out on another smash bros title... next gen.

Smash Bros joins Mario Kart for the one-per-gen thing they've got going on.  Each generation can enjoy it.

Mario Kart had SNES, N64, NGC, and now Wii.  Also showed up on NDS.  Probably will be on 3DS.

Yeah, the once per generation thing is quite nice. I think Mario Golf had something like that, pretty much showing up on almost every system since the GBC.

I would rather not have a game on the 3DS, but it almost seems like something that will be done (just look at the new Paper Mario and the Ocarina of Time remake).

Exactly my thought with my wishes for Ephraim. Of course, he is more likely to be an assist trophy, due to only being in one game.

That is true, but I thought they were working on a sequel? The problem with Sacred Stones is that it does not seem like a sequel will be made from it (but it would be nice if I am wrong). Otherwise, it could be like the Zelda/Sheik thing, with Sheik having only been in Ocarina of Time, yet she was planned for an appearance in Twilight Princess (apparently).

I know, right? Especially when comparing all of the Sonic trophies to the Yoshi trophies (KOed!). I mean, why not have the Stork as a trophy? Poochy? Kamek? An Egg? Baby Bowser would have been a great trophy, as he appears in at least three Yoshi games. I only remember having the two Yoshi trophies (regular and final smash), Baby Mario, Baby Peach, and... That is it. I mean, look at all of the Metal Gear and Sonic trophies, and Yoshi only gets four. Why Jet or Silver, and no Kamek or Baby Bowser? Actually, having a Raven trophy would have been neat too. Raphael the Raven... Yet we get a stupid Cardboard Box! Kind of the same with Wario actually, having few trophies (although for him, I kind of understand)...

That would have been perfect! Like, have the Judgement summon, or even Daedalus, depending on the djinn. Yeah, having all of those missiles aiming at people in the game would be neat.


Also, considering the popularity of the Smash Bros. series, I kind of doubt that Brawl will be their last installment. Hey, almost anything could be better than commercial characters having their own games (wait, was that a piece of bread wearing underwear? Ew.).

I actually completely forgot about Daedalus. Was too busy imagining people in Brawl getting pwnd by Iris and thrown into the sun. Or pwnd by Megaera. Or Ramses. Why do you guys insist on having summons as playable characters? Isn't Metaknight broken enough?

Perhaps a new SSB will allow us to have more working grounds along the side of graphics. Looking at models in Brawlbox really reveals how simple they are. I would love to see a SSB as beautiful as some of the games on the PS3.

To be honest, Snake and ROB both annoyed me upon inclusion because a) Most MGS games are released on Sony consoles, b)wtf is ROB and c) Because of these two characters, characters like Saki, Isaac and Lynn had to be assist trophies instead of playable characters although you could just switch the models lol. Some people give the excuse that ROB was put in there because of the Subspace Emissary but I thought that was more of a "hey let's try something new" thing than a fun playable mode. There's a lot of possibilities for awesome playable characters but they had to pick the most random ones.


I hate Ike. I hate Ike with a passion. Instead of improving on Roy, they had to replace him with a character that still sucks. I mean, whenever I think Marth, I think Roy! Why the hell did they include Ike in the first place if he's only appeared in one game asforementioned? Ugh. And what about Lucas? He's practically a clone of Ness. What made Ness fun was that he was unique (and had that epic Okay taunt); adding Lucas screws that all up. They could have picked Jeff, who could have actually been quite different, but no.

Are you serious, Charon?  These are the same people who want to be able to CAST summons as if they were psynergy with some kind of summoner class.  You should have seen this coming - their view on such things is "Game balance be damned, I'm working on rule of cool!"

To be fair, they were talking about making them assist trophies, not playable characters. Items are broken by default, so... it wouldn't really do much to game balance.

I don't mind Ike, but that is only because I can pretty much dodge and counter every move when he is controlled by a person or is an NPC. For using him, he is much too slow for me. I do have a new dislike for Wolf though, and I need more practice against Link/Toon Link.

Yeah, Lucas is practically a clone. Same with Toon Link, but he is faster in his movement, and slower for attacks (still rings "clone").

Exactly. Ice Climbers were random, Pit was kind of random (but cool), Game & Watch was based on some of the earliest games... What is ROB? Why is there an army guy as a playable character? He can shoot people with a rifle, yet he makes it into the game (without the rifle though, but holy cow).

Exactly. My least favourite would either be the Smash Orb (but I love using Yoshi's ability), or the Dragoon.

One of them? The most that I would like for a summoner class would be if there are a few of the Call spells, but we already have a similar class.

That's what makes it amazing when you win with him. And especially with White Marth. Seriously amazing stuff man.

(its also amazing when you use your down strong while the stage is changing on Castle Siege to push the opponent to the far left or right so that when the stage reappears, both of you die. Fun to do, especially when you have the more stock hehehehe. Marth even thinks its funny because he say "ha" "hee" "ho" ha" like 20 times lol. It's dumb, it's predictable, but it is hilarious)

I thought Subspace Emissary was plenty cool and very playable. Granted, there are certain things wrong with it (standardized jumping so all characters get exactly the same height, standardized running speed, the part where P2 doesn't have to deal with all those things).

And on the subject of Summons being broken assist trophies, just think of how rare Mew is in Pokeballs and then that'd be about right for Iris' appearance rate.

And what about the part where Roy was a MARTH CLONE, and the part where Ike isn't. Granted, in my opinion, they should have replaced Roy with Ephraim from Sacred Stones rather than Ike. Because Ephraim's weapon, Siegmund, is fire-based as well, and because it'd be something other than a sword.

And Lucas's PK Freeze is pure epic.

Yes, Toon Link is a clone. No, he shouldn't be a clone, but he is. I mean, why doesn't he call in his steamboat from Phantom Hourglass for his FS, or summon a massive windstorm with the Ballad of Gales? And adult Link should probably change to Wolf Form when his Triforce Slash ends.

On that note, they should have kept Mario's old downB, and FLUDD should have been upB. Rocket Nozzle and Hover Nozzle anyone?
